Position: Sales & Marketing Director
Location: South Central UK - Mix of Remote & office based
Package: Circa £50,000-£60,000 salary plus bonus
This is a newly created role within a small training provider looking to really push their early growth into 2021 and beyond.
You already have a small sales team in place, so this will be more of a mix between a strategic role and operating at a senior level with prospects and clients. However, it will not just be a sales focus that you have. Marketing will be a big focus in this role as well, the existing senior team of the organisation aim to take a more modern approach to the growth of the company and have the sales & marketing functions working together - easier said than done, but with a smaller team this will be imperative to get right before you look to grow further.
Now talking growth. The company is in their early stages of development, and were able to spend much of 2020 building their offering - curriculum, delivery, material etc - and plan to see a relative rapid growth phase over the next 18-24 months.
ideally we want to see someone who has a track record of growing teams and revenue from early stage to £3-5m.
The current senior team have operated in further education for many years, but from an operational position, hence the needs for a senior sales figure to join the SLT.
They have a clearly defined market and offering, within Digital & Professional services apprenticeships - again, the current work force have all operated in this field for many years - of which both will see high levels of demand as we come out of the Covid crisis and see various amounts of funding pumped into this market.
So they key points to take from this opportunity are;
- Small Training provider looking to grow
- Key focus on quality provision already established in the culture
- Need to have a strategic outlook on Sales AND Marketing
- High growth apprenticeship market
You will need to be operating in the FE and Apprenticeship market already. Whether its in the digital arena or not is less important but we will need to see the understanding and knowledge of the FE market and the regulations/challenges that are uniquely faced in this sector.
Let's set up a call and go into more detail.
