Position: Regional Employability Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: £55,000 plus bonus

Restart is finally upon us. Providers have found out their allocations, and supply chains are starting to mobilise. There is going to be so much opportunity on the market, and any one working within the contracts is going to play aa vital part in supporting the unemployed market back into employment.

So starting off with an exceptional role, we are looking for someone to lead on the restart contract one provider has just won. You will be the lead figure in a contract worth just over £8m to be spent across Manchester City centre in helping people back in to work.

Leading the Restart scheme initiative through excellent leadership of Business Managers. You will ensure teams are fully staffed, capable and delivering strong outcomes both for participants and commissioners, as well as compliance and customer service results at, and beyond, expected standards.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership, which drives performance, builds strong relationships with strategic partners, and develops and supports teams and individuals.

You will manage both internal and external expectations by working directly with the prime provider, along with external supply chain including DWP and JCP to ensure effective outcomes are achieved in the overall objective of the contract.

You will have wide ranging accountabilities for the performance (both financial and contractual) and the development of employability services and operations, ensuring the successful strategic development of the programme, including business planning, internal policies, procedures and quality standards, cross-divisional working and external relations with procurers and key stakeholders in the broader eco-system.

The Operations Manager will be required to represent the Employability division at a senior level both internally and externally. The post holder will require strong business and financial acumen to ensure that current and future employability operations continue in a sustainable and viable basis and can evidence positive outcomes and value to procurers, shareholders, and participants alike.

Although you will be starting and mobilising this particular contract from concept, the employer are by no means inexperienced in this field. Over 10 years old, Employability has always been their biggest focus as a wider business, and already have a range of excellent relationships and expectations to measure against.

The commitment to this project will also include a new office in order to run this contract from as you grow the team with Business Managers, teams leads and Employment advisers etc.

With contracts going live in July, we ideally want someone available to join the business in May or June in order to start planning for the work ahead.
