Work Placement Officer (Traineeships)
£24,000 - £26,000

We are looking for someone who can actively identify work placement opportunities for Traineeship learners across the Derby & Nottingham region.

This particular training provider we are working with, is a fantastically run business that deliver Apprenticeships, Employability courses, and of course Traineeship programmes across the East Midlands region.

With centres in a number of locations, they focus on supporting young people and adults back in to work, or to improve their career aspirations around the local communities.

You will typically build relationships with the local employer networks in order to support each centre with it's objectives of supporting traineeship learners into Apprenticeships, or Employment.

A list of typical responsibilities are below:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure Placements for learners
  • Identify and develop relationships with work placement employers and assess the compliance of the work placement with Health and Safety risk assessment and other relevant criteria
  • Ensure that learners are familiar with their responsibilities on work placement through delivering inductions to include health and safety and child protection / the protection of vulnerable adults
  • Complete and maintain all work placement documentation including safety assessments
  • Update and ensure accurate employer and learner records are maintained
  • Organise placement interviews for employer and learner
  • Manage learner attendance evidence
  • Act as the local Safeguarding Representative, ensure company procedures are adhered to
  • Any other duties as required by the SMT and line manager.
