This particular job title, must be one of the most advertised job roles in FE, and the majority of them read the same, so I'm going to try do this a little different.

You're already going to be doing this job, or a step above and know exactly what's involved in an L&M Skills coach role - it's both level 3 and 5 standards just to be clear.

So I'm going to focus much of this ad on the provider themselves rather than the role.

The provider is essentially a start up, so that will bring a new set of challenges for you to face, especially if you've spent time in some of the larger employers in our market. Believe me when I say though, this business will grow and establish itself as a quality driven, learner focused Management & IT specific, training provider within the UK Apprenticeship market.

The director here has worked at 3 of the bigger names in these fields, and was an integral part of one during their period of growth.

Starting from scratch has always been an ambition, and to build a quality driven provider from the start is something that they will achieve. To prove this is more than lip service, many providers will look at sales first then infrastructure; this is very much a chicken or the egg decision for many FE leaders. This business has opted for the opposite, build an infrastructure, build a quality curriculum first and then go to market.

It's still very early days, but they have plans to grow quickly within the first 2 years, where the team will grow from 5 to circa 20+ individuals in the next 12-18 months, if not more.

So this gives you a little flavour of who they are, why they exist, and what they want to achieve.

Purely focusing on IT and Management based Apprenticeship standards, this is their niche, and we know that in the current market it is providers with a niche/specialism that will excel over the next few years, not the big clunky jack of all trades corporates.

The role - if you're still reading, like I said you already know the role. You'll be deliver the level 3 Team Leader Supervisor role, as well as the Level 5 Ops Manager standard. They have accreditations with both CMI & ILM, will be delivering through blended learning, and interestingly have created both a cohort model, and a roll on roll off model for those individual learners in the small SME market.

You are going to have to be an existing, and qualified, level 5 Leadership & management coach. The key here, is to be very learner focused, that is key for them as they build a business around this ethos.

This will be an ongoing requirement, we have the remit to recruit continuously for them over the next 12 months, so if you're are looking between now and the end of the year, or even if 2021 is the time for you to move, get in touch and we can start nurturing you into the employer.
