Package: Circa £28,000 salary plus uncapped commission at 2% of course value sold
Joining a start up training provider, but one with serious pedigree through it's existing personnel who know the market inside out, you will be an integral figure to the early success of this business.
Essentially you will be number 6/7 into the business, and the third Sales/BD professional. With that comes challenge of course, but one hell of an opportunity. Not just in earning potential, but in career aspirations. As the business grows, you in turn will be given higher esteem and become part of the management team as you grow your own sales function.
For those reading, that already know this market but are maybe a bit above the offered salary range - You'll also know what 2% of some of the course values means for your own commission, which will more than outweigh any drop in salary. These guys are starting small, but will very quickly raise your salary based on performance. The provider has a blended learning approach to it's Apprenticeship delivery programmes (does also have an eLearning offering), which focus on Professional Services. Particularly the Level 3 Team Lead, Level 5 Leadership & Management (CMI Accredited already), and a suite of IT & Digital training standards as well.
You will know from this, that the offering ranges for some lower value but high volume standards, to some higher ticket specialist subjects for you to get stuck into.
Going with the blended approach, the provider wants to focus on both the Levy & SME market. Why? Because ultimately they want to embody the true meaning of apprenticeships, of giving an individual the chance to earn & learn in their chosen career route, and to make a positive impact on each employer they work with.
Honesty and Integrity are two key values here. They are not a 'bums on seats' style provider. There will be a key focus on quality and impact, an you will have to mirror this with the same values and strategy to work.
You might have guessed from the way this is written, we need someone who already knows the Apprenticeship market. Ideally having a track record of selling the same suite of apprenticeship standards, but will consider similar professional services. A passion for Apprenticeships will be key, we want you to strive to make the same impact from that 1 learner in a small SME, to the 50 learner cohort you secure with a Levy client.
